I’m 63 years old and so lonely. Does it matter to anyone?

 

Being alone at sixty three can be a very alienating experience. It's normal to question whether anyone is concerned about your welfare, particularly if loneliness appears to be weighing you down. Regardless of your age, it's crucial to understand that your feelings are real and valuable. Anybody, regardless of age or background, can be affected by loneliness, and the need to connect is a basic human need.

Even if it might not always seem like it, there are those who do care, even if they don't always show it. Reaching out for help from family and friends to expert resources can help you escape the clutches of loneliness and rekindle the meaningful relationships that make life happier and more fulfilling. There is hope for better days ahead, and you are not alone in your battle.
